My friend Cindy introduced me a while back to Ann Voskamp, a writer and author of the blog, A Holy Experience. Ann wrote a wonderful book called One Thousand Gifts, which speaks to the fact that our lives should be a constant thanksgiving to the One who gave us everything, Who allows us another day, and the innumerable blessings that surround us daily. If you haven't read the book, I'd highly, highly, highly recommend it, but it is a call to action. It's not a book you can read, put aside and forget. At least I could not.
I subscribe to Ann's blog, A Holy Experience, and get daily emails that continue to challenge and encourage me. Today's was called the Great Give Away and it really left me speechless. As we enter into the Christmas season, I thought I'd post the link to the blog post - maybe it will speak to you also.
