I am anal when it comes to certain language uses and misuses. It drives me nuts when people take good, practical words and massacre them, or if they take a word and use it improperly.
Example #1: Frustrating ... suddenly has become Fustrating ... WHAT? It drives me UP the wall. Not only is it wrong, it sounds ridiculous.
Example #2: Mull ... the word means to think over ... so why does EVERYONE say, "I'm going to go home and mull it over" ? What this means is that you're going to think it over over...
I know this has nothing to do with the normal blog topics, but I couldn't hold it in any longer...I blame it on my mother and her excellent grammar.
