Strawberry Tart

Most puff pastry boxes comes with two sheets of pastry. I used the first sheet to make jam turnovers...yum. But the second pastry was used to make a strawberry tart. This tart is a quick, easy tart to make that doesn't involve making a pastry cream, which can take some time. This is really sort of a quick version of a strawberry shortcake.

Strawberry Tart
Ingredients:
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 egg (beaten)
20-30 strawberries, cut in half
Whipping cream (homemade or in the can)

1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, Silpat or grease with butter. Put the pastry on the pan. Brush the pastry with an egg wash. Put in the oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.

2. Meanwhile, cut your strawberries in half.

3. When the pastry is cooled, spread whipped cream over the face of the pastry. Arrange berries on top of the whip cream. ENJOY!
